Application Procedures

  • The applicant must either be a secondary school teacher or social worker.

  • The applicant should submit their applications online or complete the application form and attach a program proposal not exceeding 3 pages.

  • Completed applications should be sent to "HOPE worldwide Ltd." Attention: "Citi Success Fund"

  • Grant awardees will be notified in early July 2011. Programs should be implemented during the period from Sept 2011 to June 2012.

  • Deadline: 20th June 2011

Program Expenses and Report

  • A one-time grant will be awarded to the respective schools or organizations by cheque at the award ceremony on Nov, 2011.

  • Grantee must submit an awarded program final report within one month after the completion of the program.

  • The financial report must consist of all related expense items and receipts.

  • Any unused balance from a grant is to be returned to "HOPE worldwide Ltd." by cheque.
Judging Criteria
The Program Review Committee will use the criteria listed in the Proposal Guideline to make its recommendations.
Outstanding Student Award

We gained a lot of support from the schools and non-government organizations for the implementation of Citi Success Fund. Nearly 50,000 students have benefited. We would like to introduce the "Outstanding Student Award" this year to recognize 10 participants' performance during he program.

Participation procedure

  • Every awarded program can nominate one student for the Outstanding Student Award.
  • Nomination is made by the teacher or social worker.
  • Complete the nomination form and return it to HOPE worldwide.
  • After review by the judging committee, a short list of nominees will be chosen for interview.
  • After the interview, 10 finalists will be selected.

Award

  • Free participation in a 7-day student exchange trip to Gansu province.
  • Be inducted into the Citi Success Fund’s Group of Outstanding Students.
  • Certificate
(Note: After the exchange trip, the student is required to attend a sharing and recognition session.)

Selection Criteria

  • Dedication and commitment in the program
  • Positive change during the program
  • Able to use the knowledge and skills acquired during the program
  • Comments from teachers and social workers
  • Comment from other participants

Timeline

Application deadline: May 4, 2012
Date for interviews: June 2, 2012
Finalists announced: June 18, 2012
Exchange trip: Aug 5 to 11, 2012
