Program Purpose
The Citi Success Fund aims to fund creative and career-related guidance programs for secondary students. It includes two parts: "Creative Grant Program" and "School Partnership Program". The Creative Grant Program encourages teachers and social workers to submit their own creative proposals. They will receive funding when the proposal has passed the judging process. In the School Partnership Program, HOPE worldwide will invite schools in specific districts to co-organize programs. We will provide the funding and instructors. Partner schools are only responsible for recruitment of participants and venues for activities. The Citi Success Fund is funded by Citi Foundation and Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged, co-organized by Citi and HOPE worldwide.
Program Goals
Successful applications to the Citi Success Fund will attempt to achieve primarily one of the following:
  • To enhance their financial and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills
  • To enhance their future employability through the acquisition of knowledge and skills in areas such as project planning, management, interpersonal relations and leadership
  • To enhance their career development knowledge and skills such as identifying individual potential and developing strengths or talents
Theme
The theme for the 2011-2012 school year is "Youth Education and Career Development". Through creative experiential learning and community service, we aim to strengthen our youth's ability to grasp career-related information, thus helping them to make appropriate academic decisions for future career development. The program also responds to the new 3-3-4 secondary school system, providing a plethora of other learning experiences, giving our youth the opportunity to develop their potential and career-related knowledge and skills. Applicants can submit proposals to apply for funding from the ¡§Creative Award Program¡¨ or the ¡§School Partnership Program¡¨. The proposals should fall into one of the four project types: Business Smarts, Talents Exploration, Career Development, and Community Project and Leadership.
